Basic Tournament Rules

  • Team captains must register their team during the registration period and have all participating players join their roster during this time. Only players registered to the official team roster will be eligible to compete in the event.

§ Once the registration period has ended, there will be absolutely no roster changes permitted for the duration of the event.

  • Teams must have a minimum of 6 players registered to their roster. There is maximum roster size of 12 players per team.
  • Failure of a team to “check-in” to their assigned match will result in an automatic forfeit. A grace period of (15) minutes will be allowed to account for late teammates.
  • All matches must be played using the “Clan Match” system in-game
  • Players must add their Persona ID to their CEVO accounts to be eligible to compete in the event
  • Tournament games will not be delayed, replayed, or rescheduled due to problems arising from a player’s computer or internet connection (including lag). Teams should have backup players available in case of any problems.
  • Player substitutions are allowed at any time during an official match. Although, a player is only allowed to join the game after the player whom they are replacing has left the server.
  • All weapons, armor, inserts and boosts are allowed in the tournament unless otherwise stipulated in the official rules.
  • In the event of a tie (during regular season matches), the team with the higher cumulative score will win. For this and other reasons, teams must take a screenshot of their match scoreboards. In case of a dispute, only screenshot evidence will be accepted.
  • All prizes will be distributed via email within 30 days of conclusion of the event, provided the team captain has submitted a valid CEVO earnings form.
  • Prizes will be distributed in the form of redeemable coupons, by CEVO staff, directly to the team captain. The team captain will bear responsibility to distribute prize codes to their teammates. If a team captain fails to distribute prizes to their registered team, a player may reach out to CEVO staff to file a complaint. There will be no more than 8 winning coupons granted per team.
  • If a team attempts to manipulate or exploit a CEVO rule in any way other than for its intended use, CEVO staff reserve the right to make a final decision and interpretation on the rule in question for the given event match and/or dispute.
  • CEVO reserves the right to modify these rules as needed. This includes changes due to software updates or releases, and all other changes deemed necessary by CEVO, LLC. Teams should check the rules on a regular basis and prior to every match to ensure they are in complete compliance. Teams should understand that the rules listed are guidelines that CEVO will use to ensure good sportsmanship as well as fair and competitive play. All the rules are subject to interpretation.
  • Employees affiliated with Ubisoft, specifically with Ghost Recon Phantoms may not participate.

Players should be sure to read the complete tournament rules at http://cevo.com/event/ghostreconphantoms/rules/.

Cheating and exploiting

Cheating in any form is considered a violation of the rules and will result in an immediate expulsion from the tournament and a one year suspension from CEVO. Teams will not be given the opportunity to replace a player that is disqualified for cheating.

Cheating is considered any manipulation of server configurations, client configurations, models, skins, weapons, graphics settings, or sounds to gain an unfair advantage in game. This can also include, but is not limited to, the use of any third party program not deemed legal by CEVO.

“Exploiting” refers to utilizing a bug in the game to gain an advantage. Anything beyond what the programmers intended is considered a bug and using a bug to gain an advantage is considered an exploit.

It is illegal to intentionally utilize any game exploits including any exploits that are not explicitly covered in the rules. CEVO staff have discretion to determine the intention and extent of any exploit used in game. Players found intentionally utilizing game exploits to gain an unfair advantage over their opponents may face suspension or a reversal of rounds.

Reports of Cheating and/or blatant exploitation will be reviewed by GRP staff to ensure match integrity.
