12.1 Release Notes

Updates included in Patch 12.1

Key Changes

1. New ‘Weapon Attachment Unlock’ feature

2. Fireteams are now distinguished in the HUD

3. Improved matchmaking-team-balance

4. Improved launcher

STORE: SPECIAL OFFER AND REWARD

  • Added a special offer of a 100% XP/RP Boost for every class that reaches level 5, 6, and 7
  • Added a chance for players to obtain a unique weapon exclusively in mystery boxes (AK-200 series)
  • Updated Daily Win challenge requirements to “Win a Round”

WEAPON ATTACHMENT UNLOCK FEATURE

  • Weapon attachments are now unlocked once equipped to a weapon and are no longer lost when switched with another
  • Attachments are only unlocked for each specific weapon item, not weapon class or type
  • Players can now switch between different attachments unlocked for each weapon item
  • Weapon, armor, and device-customization-screen layouts are now standardized to support the new "weapon attachment unlock" feature

MATCHMAKING

  • Adjusted matchmaking so that users who perform well in the Beginners Only Playlist will be matched more often with lower-skilled and less experienced players
  • Adjusted team balancing to better reflect level and skill for more balanced matches
  • Fixed an issue in the matchmaking system which caused less effective fireteams to be considered as effective as high-end fireteams

FIRETEAMS ARE NOW DISTINGUISHED IN THE HUD

  • Now a player’s fireteam and character will be displayed in the HUD as green. This is to encourage the use of fireteams and make it easier for them to coordinate together, which is especially useful for casual fireteams. The information is also displayed via the Cross-Link, Tactical Map, and Kill Log.

IMPROVED LAUNCHER

  • Download time for installing or patching the game is now displayed
  • New background picture in the launcher
  • New customized-launcher-experience for new users which displays relevant information while the game is installing
  • Additional text now guides users at the start of the game, while the Ghost Recon Skull is displayed

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed an exploit in Balaklava where a player can enter the opposing team's spawn area via the bridge
  • Fixed a bug in the collision system in Balaklava which was part of an invisible wall
  • Fixed an exploit in Attica Heights where a player can take cover at the back of the railings on the capture point
  • Fixed a visual glitch tied to using the Cloak ability while wearing the Triton Recon hood
